Kayaking in mizzly, drizzly weather is fine too. Just add a rainproof jacket. We will progressively challenge ourselves, from dams/lakes, to rivers and ultimately to the sea. We found we had to put one puff on air into the seat bottoms and six into the seat backs. This lowers one’s centre of gravity, making the vessel more buoyant, hence safter. We quickly found out too that it really needs only one paddler, the person at the rear, when navigating a dam or lake at least.
